Another from my Children's Film Foundation/BFi Bumper Box Volume 3 set

Mostly filmed in Ireland (Wicklow, Dublin) - despite not being listed on imdb - with only the last few minutes in Englandshire. Wicklow farm lad has his pet donkey sold by mistake to a dealer so sets out to rescue it, which eventually takes him to Sussex. Not a thriller - it makes something like All Creatures Grated Small seem like a James Bond action movie in comparison. Talking of which, this bloke pops up as the village doctor

Otherwise not much to say - it's pleasant enough but forgettable. It would however be a feast for database such as imdonkeydb.
