Old-fashioned, which wouldn't be a crime if… Set during rehearsals in a town theatre, the story is rather, well… stagey, and the acting sometimes hammy. All what concerns the backstage anecdotes is mostly tepid, except when come in front Margaret Rutherford and Robert Morley, both very good indeed. Kay Kendall and Joan Rice are pretty, though. Only one vehicle, shown during one of the two very short out-door sequences.
