directed by Joseph M. Newman, with Edmond O'Brien, Otto Kruger, Joanne Dru.

Far from perfection, but well paced and with a good story about the rise and fall of an ordinary guy—Edmond O'Brien, very good—as big mobster. The "syndicate" boss, Otto Kruger, is quite effective.
