![]() Directed by French-born Robert Florey, a rather good film noir. With John Payne as Eddie, the good one, and Sonny Tufts as Vince, the very mean mob boss. And Ellen Drew, the moll ![]() … and the infamous Percey Helton ('Doc Kennedy' in Kiss me deadly) ![]() … and other baroque angles, scenes and faces ![]() ![]() in this movie whose main asset is certainly the cinematography made by John Alton.
