Clunky cliche-filled Children's Film Foundation film about a gang of crime-fighting kids and their compulsory fluffy dog

who have an old boat as their HQ

and foil some evil jewellery thieves escaping with their loot. Gosh it's predictable! Some interesting old Thames riverscapes around the Isle of Dogs, and probably an impressive budget so they were able to get lots of police and fire units involved, including river police boats and helicopter.

 Today's kids must think this is another planet, remember when you saw gangs of young kids playing out unsupervised.
In 60s and 70s we played out all day when not at school and it was a big treat if some mother let you play ' Mousetrap' in the dining room!
Mind traffic was a fraction of what it is now.

 I am one of today's kids, and I can confirm that it's still the same way as in the past, though it's alot different because of the way things are now.
