directed by Dorothy Arzner (a, well, woman-director, not that many at the time), after a play written by Ferenc Molnár.

Starring Joan Crawford, Franchot Tone, Robert Young, and Billie Burke, Reginald Owen, Lynne Carver, George Zucco, Mary Philips.

Very soapish.

Instead of a pic of our suffering Crawford, let's have some piece of Hollywood kitsch under the species of those two fantastic exemples of SGI (Studio-generated Imagery):

(Neither Italian- nor Austrian- but Hollywoodian Tyrol.)

Only two cars, but one probably impossible to ID.

The Golden Age of Hollywood, when matte paintings were real matte paintings, painted with real paintbrushes on real plates of glass. :)
