I took a screenshot of the front of the tractor and you can see the model designation there, which they didn't remove for this scene. On Caterpillar's site, they mention supplying 4 RD's for the film: Link to "www.caterpillar.com" And in one scene in the film, the boss of the tractor factory, H.J. Russell (Charles C. Wilson) mentions the "Earthworm RD8" when dictating a letter to his secretary.
