19 minute film about dams and hydro-electric power in the Highlands during the phase of widespread construction. Taken from "Young in Heart: Scottish industry in action" single DVD released by National Library of Scotland in 2009. Can't find a copy online, but it's a bit dry and lacks excitement. Rejects: - tipper and tracked crane (seen in 2 segments) - a green and white Minx S2, and a Royal Mail van (looked interesting sloping grille, but no clear shot) - small truck, 2 coaches - (yellow?) dumper with blue wheels building Dounreay More shots of building Dounreay ... when I lived on Orkney just across from Dounreay, we invented a traditional Orcadian saying: "Red sky at night, shepherd's delight, Red sky in morning - Shhiiitttt!!! Dounreay's exploded!". |
