When I saw this version of the old classic film, I was sad that Kowalski's wife passed away from complication of the operation that she had following the birth of Kowalski's daughter, no child should have to grow up without a mother. That and the film did mention two of the most disastrous operations that both the FBI and the ATF had undertook: The Waco Siege - The armed stand-off between members of the Branch Davidians and members of the ATF and the FBI at the Branch Davidians compound at Mount Carmel in Waco, Texas from the 28th February to the 19th April 1993. The siege resulted in 86 deaths - (82 Branch Davidians and 4 ATF agents). The Ruby Ridge Siege - The armed stand-off between Randy Weaver and members of the ATF, the FBI and the US Marshal Service at the Weavers' cabin at Ruby Ridge in Northern Idaho from the 21st August to 31st August 1992. The siege resulted in 3 deaths - (Weaver's wife and son and a US Marshal). -- Last edit: 2022-11-07 14:56:26 |
