29 minute film about the construction for David Colvilles Ltd of the steelworks at Ravenscraig and the mill at Gartcosh - basically the 1960s equivalent of a youtube "How to build your very own steelworks" instructional video. Hint - if you're going to do it yourself, you'll need to rope in lots of family and friends. One of 4 steel-themed films on this DVD

No imdb page but can be seen here. Loads and loads of construction plant from about 3 mins to 10 mins, then it tails off and becomes more truck content. Probably filmed 1962-66.

Ravenscraig tried to pioneer a new form of Grand Prix racing for construction plant

but it never caught on.

Lots of jibs for mike to admire

Mostly Caterpillar equipment, possibly assembled locally at Tannochside, Uddingston.
