1917 silent documentary - nothing on imdb, but listed here and can be seen here in 13:20 minute version. It is featured in this 2007 compilation DVD "On The Beat - The British Policeman 1900-1984", which in turn was reissued by Atlas Editions a couple of years ago as a free gift for subscribers to their "Best of British Police Cars" partwork mail order series of Vanguards-based 1:43 diecasts, and is the source for my copy - but this is about 11:00 long (so misses out some of the IWM footage for some reason). There's loads of stuff in the film, but have only captured things which look as if might be identifiable - if anyone wants to watch the IWM version and highlight anything else, I can add entries (unless they fall into the the missing sequences from my copy). I also expect there could be several entries to merge after IDs. Have not entered timings due to the discrepancies. Not sure yet what else could be usefully taken from the DVD - it's a 2.5 hour mixture of features, modern talking head links, and uncredited archive bits. But if there's anything else interesting with external confirmation of status, I'll try to give it a go. |
