 Moreover, in Uddevalla there is also a Volvo plant from a former joint venture with Pininfarina. Anyway, it was opened only in 1989, therefore some years after this movie.

 Yes, but the Volvo plant in Uddevalla has closed down. I have some friends that used to work at the end assembly in the Uddevalla plant, they used to fart in the seats just as the cars would roll of the assembly line to produce 'the new car smell'.
