Yes, we have here some hideous pan & scan transfer, the format passing from 2.35:1 to 1.33:1, and the quality of the black and white is in tune with the new ratio. Fortunately, the sound stayed good. So, Edmond O'Brien could have a smile at me. It's a pity cause this little noir caper is quite good, the story being tight and suspensing enough, O'Brien doing a proper job, and Laraine Day and Julie London too. The musical score is quite decent. Now, don't shout at me for the pics I am uploading. As a matter of a fact, I hope that someday this movie will have a correct dvd release. In that case, I'll have pathed the way for the IMCDber who's gonna replace my pics, since I gave him the timing and the main vehicles. Right? Un transfert numérique horrible, probablement tiré d'une odieuse version télé mutilée par le pan & scan, gâte le plaisir de suivre cette petite histoire noire de meurtre et d'escroquerie, bien tenue par Edmond O'Brien dirigé par Hubert Cornfield dont je viens d'apprendre le nom. Bah, ce sera toujours ça de fait pour celui d'entre-nous qui remplacera les images, le jour où une version dvd décente de ce film sera publiée.
