This film is about the kidnapping of the CEO of the Heineken Brewing Company; Alfred Heineken and his driver; Abs Doderer who were both abducted out the front of the Heineken Headquarters at the Weteringplantsoen in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on the evening of the 9th November 1983.

The kidnappers were later identified and arrested, they were:

Willem Holleeder - Gang leader and suspected armed robber, arrested along with van Hout by French National Police in Paris on the 29th February 1984, extradited to the Netherlands on the 31st October 1986 and later convicted on the 19th February 1987 and sentenced to 11 years imprisonment.

After his release, Holleeder became an high-profile gangland boss in the Amsterdam Underworld and became the Vice President of the No Surrender Outlaw Motorcycle Club Amsterdam Branch.

Cor van Hout - Holleeder's brother in law and former class mate, arrested along with Holleeder in Paris and later convicted with Holleeder.

After his release, van Hout joined up with Holleeder in an extortion ring and was later shot dead by a unknown hitman in Amstelveen on the 24th January 2003.

Frans Meijer - Heineken's kidnapper and muscle, turned himself over to the Dutch Police, escaped from the Pieter Baan Center in December 1985 before fleeing to Paraguay, later recaptured and extradited to the Netherlands in 1998 and was later released in 2005.

After his release, Meijer returned to Paraguay.

Jan Boellaard - Heineken's kidnapper and muscle, arrested in 1984 and sentenced to 12 years imprisonment, escaped from prison at Scheveningen in 1986 with another prisoner before being recaptured 30 minutes after the escape, released in December 1991.

After his release, Boellaard shot and killed customs officer; Jan Holm after a car chase in the Pesthuislaan area of Amsterdam on the 2nd January 1994, later convicted of Holm's murder in 1995 and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment, released in 2007.
