(Da kann ich von Glück sagen, daß ich den Kommentar nicht bei DSO, "Drehscheibe-Online" gepostet habe. Da soll ein ganz rüder Ton herrschen. Speziell bei Bahn-Freaks ist der Anteil der völlig haltlos Durchgeknallten außerordentlich hoch...)

 but Drehscheibe online is very good in Citybusses, and in 1971 an english man made photos of steam railway in lower Neckarvalley
Heilbronn to Heidelberg, it is phantastique, he is the only one ever made photo of steam locomotive BR 065 in Eberbach a.N. cause noone cared for BR 38; BR 50 ; BR 023; BR 065 in every day use! besides the V200 was my first Märklin locomotive in 1975.

 @ingo: Sadly, you're correct. Actually, it's only a couple of users who just don't know how to behave (and let's face it: We have some specimen of this kind on this site, too from time to time). I know the page only as a visitor. Just like this site here, I discovered DSO by accident last fall or so. Since then, I visit it on a regular basis. I'm also no die-hard railway-connaisseur, but the sheer abundance of interesting pictures from the past they have there is simply indescribable. The best proof of that are the pictures Andrepa mentions. I discovered them a couple of months ago and was absolutely speechless. http://www.drehscheibe-foren.de/foren/read.php?17,5276112,page=all
No matter how rural and small some railways were- that forum has pictures about them, even if they have disappeared decades ago, and I really appreciate the work of the countless photographers which contribute to that site.  @cl82: DSO I've known before due my plate-fellows (www.pl8s.biz), because sometimes they have pics with motifs, interesting for us. Some of us are members, there. I became a forum-member a few days ago, after my DPRK-travelling-companion -a DSO-member since a longer time (his travellings around the world -he want to visit all countries of the world, now he has "made" 132, I think, he do always with public transport!)- has shown me this interesting report of someone, who had been there some months later: http://www.drehscheibe-foren.de/foren/read.php?30,6427544
But he warned me before: never contribute pics there - because there are so many hardcore-nerds, who become hysterical, when the pics are not 100% according their quality-standards [:kiki] And he told me some anecdotes about quite a lot of those fellows. The percentage of really hopeless loopy blokes (never girls) is really extraordinaire there, in the railway-freak-scene.
Of course- here at IMCDb we have some crazy nerds -we are some, too, no question- but we all here are much more civilized than the train-freaks :D
