I always love it when K-pop music videos include American classic cars, like the Chevrolet Impala, as well as the Step Van. Itzy's "Not Shy" music video also has an Impala, but it's a two-door hardtop and a 1963 model, and Blackpink's "As If It's Your Last" music video from 2017 also has an Impala, but it's a 1960 convertible,. Mamamoo's "Egotistic" music video, on the other hand, has a 1958 Buick Special 4-door in it. I would say that only car enthusiasts recognize old cars here. K-pop fanatics be like, "What car is that? I've never seen that before," or they will just ignore them classics. -- Last edit: 2020-08-31 12:44:19 |

And, of course, you can always watch them with the sound switched off. |

When I watch K-pop MVs, I don't mind the music, I mind the cars they're using. I may have liked some K-pop songs, but not all of them. In the Philippines, most K-pop fans here are girls, so they don't mind seeing a vintage American classic car in a K-pop MV anyway. And also, I listen to Madonna, and some 80s, 90s, and 2000s hits everyday, not this K-pop stuff. -- Last edit: 2020-08-31 16:35:06 |

I would listen to all of that with the sound switched off as well. |

i have a classic guideline for sound in music videos.. if there is no electric guitars my ears are not interested.. ![]() ( some exceptions are on my list but they come mainly from bands who normally use guitars as primary instruments ) |

@Baube, this is a great pure piano track. No guitars! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gGHQicQUw4 |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WojNaU4-kI No guitars, no electricity, this is an entirely mechanical acoustic recording. The original turntable upon which it was recorded by cutting a master could have been electrically rotated, but may have been clockwork. -- Last edit: 2020-08-31 20:39:39 |

The second half of The Sims song above is amazing. Just listened again. The guy playing is on fire. |

That's what I do, too. Cannot stand K-Pop in the slightest. |
