I think ahight means the early '80s series of concept cars all called probe. eg:

there is actually a couple cars in the movie that are supposed to be "future cars" that if you look at them right you can see the are built off of ford probes

It's the General Motors Chevrolet Express concept car from 1987; turbine powered, intended to replace executive aircraft for trips between nearby cities.

(Seriously, why can't the new Cobalts, etc look even a little bit like this? Look at what Honda has done with the new Civic. The US auto industry needs to wake up and let the designers do what they want to do, before it's too late. If it's not already...)

Hopefully this settles the dispute. This is a concept car by General Motors. I just saw it the other day at the GM Heritage Center in Michigan. Here is a pic I took:
