@ supcoach: What led you to identify a 3100? Are you able to read the hood side badge or to see the 116"/2.95 m wheelbase in the main picture? From what was visible when you wrote your comment, it was impossible to say more than a light-duty (½-ton 3100) or medium-duty (¾-ton 3600 / 1-ton 3800) model. This said, you were right about the 1949-50 model year (1949+ fuel filler pipe but no 1951+ vent window). Just a(nother) lucky guess? Cibup's additional pictures show a small wheelbase, without second vertical reinforcement bar for the bed, meaning indeed a ½-ton model. Which implies, as pickup, a 3104 model code. Apparently the same, in a less used/dusty version. But the rear wheel arch is strange (looking more like a Ford or Dodge wheel arch), and the wheel rims seem to be different (more recent). |

I asked, because main pic and first thumbs were filmed in Spain however last thumbs were filmed in Colombia. Supposed to be the same car, but obviously two different ones. What I didn't know if same model or different, as they do the same with Ford F-1 (Scenes filmed in Spain) and Dodge B-Series (Scenes filmed in Colombia) but there was no doubt in that case. -- Last edit: 2016-10-18 18:16:25 |

@elmer - FYI, I did research. I don't have your x-ray vision to read 3104 |

What research? As said above, nothing in the main picture could have led you to more than "light- or medium-duty AD". If you had done real researches, you would have found 3100, 3600 and 3800 models, with that cab, and (hopefully) understood that a view of the wheelbase, of the bed or of the wheel rims, none of them being available here, was needed do differentiate them. So please be honest and acknowledge that you were just lucky in your guess ![]() About the 3104 model code for a ½-ton 3100 model, no need to have an X-ray vision: taking the time to read the available literature is enough. But I'm aware that trying to be the first to comment everywhere doesn't leave you enough time to pay attention to such "details"... |
