The main character says its four-wheel-drive? Is that possible for a Toyota Previa or a bit of movie fantasy? ![]() |

Does this really deserve 5 stars? |

I didn't rate it but the rating was valid as I think most of the movie takes place in or showing the vehicle. Its literally the 'Carpool' vehicle in the movie's title. -- Last edit: 2007-08-05 17:24:00 |

Yes according to Wikipedia..... The first generation Previa was available in ....all-wheel drive versions (called All-Trac)..... .....This Previa also seated seven or eight people, with three seating configurations offered. All configurations have a driver and front passenger seat forward, and a three-seat bench seat at the rear that splits and folds flat against the sides of the cabin. The 8-seat configuration contains a 2/1 split swivelling bench seat in the middle row, while the 7-seat configurations contain either two independently swiveling "captain" chairs in the middle row or a two seat bench offset towards the driver's side. Looking to see if there is any screen captures possible to verify that an All-Trac version was used in the movie. |

From the image I have found of an actual vehicle there was a 'All-Trac' badge on both front doors, lower - front edge as in the first thumbnail below. The second thumbnail shows the movie vehicle in the shopping mall.![]() ![]() In the early scenes (silver version) and in the shopping mall there is no badge visible in the same area. So All-Trac version is unlikely. -- Last edit: 2007-08-05 19:50:50 |

TyotoaPrevia - FALSE In Canada, they had RWD and All Wheel Drive AVALIBLE. We owned a 1991 Toyota Previa LE RWD with an Ice Box and Dual Moonroofs. (Its Moonroofs, Sunroof isn't glass) |

I'm pretty sure in the scene where they are spray-painting the back, you can see the "Previa" and "All-Trac" badges.. I think. |
