Unless it's had an engine swap done. Many of the FD RX-7s still running around in the U.S. have been converted to Chevrolet V8s.

Lucas_gt8: The 20B was never actually sold here, and if you do manage to find one they tend to be costly. It's actually pretty hard to find American mechanics who can work on rotaries, since relatively few rotary-powered cars were ever sold here (with the RX-7 being one of the few rotary cars to sell here in decent numbers). The fact that rotaries are pretty unreliable doesn't help in that regard either...there are lots of RX7s for sale here, sans engine, for a few hundred dollars.

LS-series V8s are therefore a pretty popular replacement engine, since they're cheap, plentiful, easy to maintain, aren't much heavier, and have more power and torque potential.
