Possibly a Birotor. Colour, vinyl roof, lots of shiny window and sill trim, shiny hubcaps. 1975 film date would match the window before Citroen tried to buy them all back. Not definite at that distance, but I'd accept it. |

@ dsl: I upgraded the picture (548x328 to 656x380), details are more visible now. Didn't Pallas models have that kind of trim too? Old pic: |

The lower chrome trim (mostly also a chrome line just below the door handles, just visible here) along with the very specific fender flares show a GS Birotor, sometimes labeled GZ. Vinyl roof as standard. List as 1974, out of 800-something only a handful were made in 1973 or 1975? Even visible in the old picture, but much clearer now, thank you. Edit: The upper line is not chrome, but white on black. -- Last edit: 2016-06-27 07:58:33 |

It was originally posted as a Birotor but downgraded until it could be confirmed. So to whoever originally spotted and posted it. |

It was unveiled in September 1973, which makes it a 1974 model anyway. You're welcome Unlike the one of a Pallas, which is made of a real vinyl cover, the black roof of a Birotor was painted (also visible in this corporate picture): (Birotor // Pallas) Seen from afar, the only details that can help to differentiate the 2 models appear to be the rear fender flares and the sill trim (Birotor) / door trim (Pallas). The door handle are strictly the same, including the lower chrome frame. -- Last edit: 2016-06-27 06:47:16 |

Well they must have started the (pre)production well before September to be able to present it there, but they were available for customers early 1974. BTW, also the front fenders are flared, so from bumper to bumper the lower contour is outlined differently than on any other GS. |

Vague memory that the Birotor roof was actually brown, not black although it doesn't really help us. Also that the dished hubcaps were a polished mirror finish so - if clean - can be much shinier than usual. |

Not vinyl roof, but bicolor car : "beige tholonet" and "brun scarabée" as most of Birotors. These colors were used on DS and SM, 1973-75. Brun scarabée was also used on CX. Proof of Birotor are the wheels which are 14", same wheels (and front axle) as CX 2000 first series. All other GS haves 15" wheels. And these different wheels necesited enlarged wings. |
