Monstrous! Who would ever come up with turning a Rolls into a lowriding lead sled?!! Silver Cloud III anyways. -- Last edit: 2016-05-12 18:18:39 |

Yes a travesty to such a magnificent vehicle.. |
◊ 2016-05-12 18:41 |
Uh... It`s just animation, kids. John Lennons paint job, now that was a travesty. No matter how much it was sold for. |

Try opening the door while it's standing next to a high curb |
◊ 2016-05-12 19:04 |
You may have to climb through the window and I am not sure that would be very easy to do. |

Since the word "rubbish" is used it must be one of our British admins. I'd guess dsl |

Have you tried writing with marmite?? It's an apart idea but it might just work... |
◊ 2016-05-20 23:41 |
Haven't tried it, but let us know how you get on. |
◊ 2016-06-27 20:11 |
Found this Noon at the honorable old aunt BBC, directly under the newest Brexit-news: Link to "www.bbc.com" |

The problem with writing with Marmite is that some people will love what you have written, and some will hate it. |
◊ 2016-06-27 23:32 |
@johnfromstaffs: nice to have you back here Since over 7 hours dsl and the two other Scotsmen Sandie and kudos have alone represented the UK. P.S. I'm used to have that situation over all years: many people do not like, what I write or say. -- Last edit: 2016-06-27 23:34:24 |

We have the phrase 'Marmite Man' in Britain. Apt when Brexit is mentioned because we will most likely be lead soon by Boris Johnson. No one is ambivalent about Boris. |

Thanks ingo. I haven't had much on which to comment recently, but I am still watching. |

Am working on a few small bitty things which might keep you interested over the next few weeks, but am out of big BFI/COI dvd sets at the moment. But there are still a few of them on my medium horizon as and when I can find cheap copies ... |

You wouldn't believe how many jokes I make about that man every day... |
◊ 2016-10-07 23:16 |
Why? Actually he don't appear anywhere in the news or other medias. Less than during his mayor-times. |
◊ 2016-10-07 23:20 |
He just seems so much of a...spacke, as my father puts it. |
◊ 2016-10-07 23:27 |
Boris often reminds me of a badge when Reagan was big boss which said "I've always been told anyone can become President ...... now I know it's true". |

The Brexit has caused, hat Marmite is harder available today: Link to "www.spiegel.de" So Tesco don't sell it online any more. Hopefully the same will not happen with Haggis |
◊ 2016-10-13 12:20 |
Don't worry. The fight has not yet started, Tesco and Unilever are just dancing round their handbags, and you can always go to Sainsbury's. |
◊ 2016-10-13 13:10 |
As Marmite-town (Burton-on-Trent) is in jfs-county its production costs should be a self-contained loop, unaffected by Brexit and/or external exchange rates. Dancing round handbags ^ sums it up ..... But I have secured supplies just in case. And haggis supplies should also remain unaffected within Scotland and rest of UK by the same argument, as well as becoming cheaper for foreign-based connoisseurs of this Caledonian delicacy - as there are lots of producers, no-one has a monopoly. However toy car prices are increasing already - Corgi Vanguards went up by 10-20% last week, and like most brands they're made in China. |

Unilever is saying its overall costs are increasing and it is talking about recouping costs over the entire product range. Tesco thinks that its purchasing power gives it the edge. Having worked in "big business" I am aware of some of their mind sets, and so will be an interested bystander in this skirmish. While defending nobody, it is a fact that a litre of diesel is now £1.16 in this town, so I am heading for the £70 tankful, rapidly, which can be added to a £650 dentist's bill and a £250 vet's bill within the last week. -- Last edit: 2016-10-13 14:27:35 |

So the fuel prices in the UK don't really increase. Actually it's roundabout 10p less, than he usual Diesel-price, I had to pay on our last SCO-trips. I just had a look to the old receipts (it's my manner to keep them). |
◊ 2016-10-13 21:46 |
But yesterday it was £1.10 per litre. I have, however filled up this evening in Tesco Stoke on Trent at £1.11. Before any comments arise, I had to go to Smoke on Stench to visit my brother in hospital. There is a wide variation across the UK in fuel prices, I have seen diesel at £1.11 to 1.18 today, all within 20 miles of home, and this will be cheaper than Scotland and England when away from the towns. You would possibly be paying up to £1.25 there. -- Last edit: 2016-10-13 21:55:36 |

It would seem that Unilever and Tesco buried the hatchet fairly swiftly. Supplies of Marmite are now returning to the shelves. |

After the Marmite confrontation, it now seems that Toblerone is under attack - where will they strike next?? |
