 Fairly sure the bike is a Harley - the rest of the visible details confirm it. here is a similar era bike with a similar tank logo - http://www.ronsusser.com/listings/images/12832/95198.jpg

Looking at pics of Harleys from that era it would seem that there was a wide choice of tank logos.

I think the bike here might be a Fat Boy.
