1960-66, with the 1964-66 flat windshield. More a 1½-star vehicle, as it's only used as platform ![]() No need to count the studs: it's clearly the 6½ ft. /1.98 m bed (here the 8 ft./2.49 m version for comparison) of a short ½-ton model. But as (almost) said by supcoach, there is not enough detail to tell a short Chevrolet C-10 (C1404 model code) over its GMC 1000 sibling (1001 factory model code). ⇒ 1964 GM C-Series |

I thought GMC used 6-lug wheels for the lightest model and Chevrolet used 5-lug wheels for the lightest model ![]() |

If you read this in your usual reference book, you should definitively burn it or just use it for wedging unstable pieces of furniture ![]() I didn't find quickly a document in line with the relevant info for the GMC trucks, but here is the reference for the 6-stud wheels of the Chevrolet models. Used at least since 1958 and until 1970. The 5-stud wheels were used from 1971 onwards, but by both Chevrolet and GMC. |
