That's not an Oldsmobile that's a 57 Studebaker -- Last edit: 2016-02-16 01:23:23 |

Yes. Commander or Champion. Cannot tell which from this angle. Deluxe style trim. |

Your namesake car at last!!??? Looks like single-exhaust. Would '57 Commander V8s have twin pipes? -- Last edit: 2016-03-02 06:18:02 |

No. Dual exhausts were a $28.60 option on Commanders in 1957. (My '57 Commander has a single exhaust on the right side, just like the subject vehicle.) BTW, the stainless steel exhaust deflector shown was also an accessory ($5.00). -- Last edit: 2016-03-02 03:13:11 |

Sorry to say, this one's a Champion. Recurring appearances in the series, check out episode 3, ~14:00 scene in front of high school. |

No. Could be a Commander without the dual exhaust option. To tell which, would have to see the front fender nameplate/V-8 emblem or the engine. (Trim differences distinguished Custom from Deluxe models.) |

....or are you saying you confirmed it was a Champion from a different episode? |

Sadly, yes -- you can see the scripted "Champion" on the front fender. Ep 3, @14:00 (est) Not able to screen shot it, maybe someone else can.. I was rooting for the Commander, Commander! -- Last edit: 2016-03-02 17:47:21 |

Thanks. But a Champion Deluxe is great, too! |

Excellent. Thanks for the extra photos which tie this down. This car is very close to mine (Commander Deluxe) but mine has the lighter color (Wedgewood) blue. -- Last edit: 2016-03-05 02:59:34 |
