Seems to have extra 'jewellery' on side windows, so could be 230.6 [W114]. |

no original badge on the trunk, so hard to say. No 230.6, as it is an old model. According Wiki https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_/8#Motorisierung the 230.6 came in August 1973. -- Last edit: 2016-01-14 23:43:21 |

I didn't change the type as admin because I'm not sure about this jewellery. Are they chromed slats or just perfectly polished black paint? ![]() |

What jewellery? According Wiki there aren't any differences by the chrome parts between W114 and W115 except the extra front bumper. Only the 1974+ W114 had longer edges at the back bumper. Same with the W108 and W109 - so it's not comprehensible, that you and rpcm are always talking about more chrome on the W109 ![]() |

@ingo: I don't know about the compact version, but there's a visible difference between the W 108 and the W 109, if one studies them very close up indeed. The W 109 had loads of chrome (aluminium) around the side windows Link to "konrad-janicki.tumblr.com" which continued towards the windscreen https://www.drive2.ru/r/mercedes/838975/ . The W 108 only had some small bits of chrome (aluminium) just at the edges of the side windows Link to "www.mad4wheels.com" . However that wasn't the major difference between the two. The W 109 had air suspension, which Mercedes bought when Borgward went burst, while the W 108 only had a "BOGE bone" to cope with the load. When that fail it looks much like an air suspended car without the air. |

How many times we know more than Wiki? ![]() Following 'Heckflosse' best versions' tradition, W114 250 and 280 has extra chromed tiny slats around side windows. Compare 1974-1976 W114 (left) with W115 (right). ![]() ![]() |

However after comparing photos, I agree it's W115. |
