Well it’s not a Eddie Bauer (It would have Tan trim if it was a Eddie Bauer) Also it’s not a Limited as it has chrome bumpers, chrome grille and the standard "XLT" wheels. |

Explorer never had a 'XL' trim, which was the base model on the F-Series, E-Series and Ranger. The base model on the Explorer is the (rather rare) XLS. Which did not have chrome trim aside from the grill. |

There was a "XL" trim level too. XL models came with plain steel wheels, no exterior trim modeling, No factory tinted windows, and some even came without roof racks. Here is a 1991 Ford Explorer XL 4x4: Ford later changed the "XL" letters to "XLS"… -- Last edit: 2007-02-14 04:01:00 |
