My obsession with cars began at a younger age than I can remember. However, as a toddler, I lived in an apartment building that overlooked a fairly major parkway, and my parents tell me I'd spend hours looking out the window at everything passing below me.
From there, I've never really been able to escape it. I've even taken two jobs (including my current one) just because it'd have me doing something with cars.
I'd like to say that this obsession has led me to own something interesting, but so far my budget hasn't quite complied. Up to now, I've owned:
1995 Chrysler Intrepid - it had the optional 3.5L V6, which was quite a nice motor, I miss it a little even if it was a bit of a money pit
1992 Ford Escort - however gutless it may have been (0-60 was something in the 14 second range), it was light, nimble, and had automatic seatbelts, which was an interesting little party trick
1991 Ford Probe - I suppose my ownership on this one is tenuous, since I've barely driven it. Still, I was won over by a $100 car that almost looks good.
1990 Ford F-150 - it's got the 302 and RWD, so it's about as close to a Mustang as my insurance rates allow for now
