It's better to see the cargo box to identify the 116" wheelbase of a 3100 pickup from the 125" one of a 3600 model or from the 137" wheelbase of the 3800 pickup No doubt, "ours" is a short wheelbase Chevrolet 3100 pickup from the 1947-1955 Advance-Design series: (00:37:15) With it's windshield in 2 parts, it's a 1947 to 1953 model. But with the push-button door handle, we can identify it more precisely as a 1952 to 1953 model. (00:24:36 - Marg Helgenberger helps us identify the pickup ) => 1952 Chevrolet 3100 [Advance-Design] -- Last edit: 2014-04-14 04:12:08 |

if viewing the scene prior 2 the Mack rig totallin out the 3100 - look at the front suspension where in one scene (on the highway) it has an IFS conversion from a 73-87 C-series (which was common prior to the S10 frame swap which has a narrower front track) while the one used for the stunts has the straight axle/i-beam setup... |
