mp775 suggested here that:
Quote IMO, in general, "New Look" should be the model with the alphanumeric model designation as a submodel or trim level [...]

Shouldn't it be a way to avoid a lot of unknown GM buses, as several clues that could lead to the identification of their alphanumeric code are often impossible to see (Diesel or gasoline engine, manual or automatic gearbox, air conditioning or not...)?

By the way, the front logo (and make?) of these buses was only GM until 1968. The side roof signals seem to have the 1963+ bullet shape, but the ad banner prevents to see if this bus has a (brand new for the movie) 1968+ third clearance light at center on the roof side.
1963-67 GM model or 1968 GMC one? This said, the debate about the accurate make is not closed yet :)

Well, the color scheme is that of the Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority.

It's a 1965-66 GMC TDH5303 in the colors of either the New York City Transit Authority or Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority. Not a '68 because it has the 1963-67 marker lights, and it does not have police lights, which New York's New Looks had starting in 1968.
