I lived in LA at the time of filming. I don't recall seeing a Ford postal truck on any routes. |

I found this which also has Avan in the name http://www.coachbuilt.com/bui/v/vanette/oo1969_duravan.jpg but it looks nothing like this, and is called DurAvan rather than just Avan, but the A is capitalized so thats why I suggested it. |

No, base was Ford Vanette/P-Series chassis. Boyertown build only bodies, and not always on Ford chassis. |

Presently USPS removes manufacturer logos. Don't know if that policy was in place when this movie was made. |

My first comment on this vehicle is exactly 13 years ago ! I'd say this van must be still in service in 1993, but I heard that this model was a 1977, since A-vans were produced earlier and had models from as far as I know, 1975. -- Last edit: 2023-03-24 11:03:01 |
