All the others we have are in archive film (or anime), so I wonder where this one was hiding. |

Two of these are still known to exist in Estonia. One is a 1940 model that has probably been restored in the meantime: http://eag.vanatehnika.ee/a-sks/KruppL2H143_40-b_rkv1992.jpg http://eag.vanatehnika.ee/a-sks/KruppL2H143_40-c_rkv1992.jpg http://eag.vanatehnika.ee/a-sks/KruppL2H143_40.jpg The other was discovered in the village of Kanissaare on Saaremaa in 1998. It was strewn into parts in 1944 during the Red Army's attack on the island (there was a tree growing through the engine!) and was being restored for almost 15 years before it was finally completed. This is probably the vehicle we are looking at. The Estonian Army was even said to have ordered several of these in the late thirties, but there is no definite proof for this. -- Last edit: 2019-12-12 20:23:48 |
