A brilliant, almost three hour long, postmodern film focussed on a woman interviewing people for a workplace injury PSA, touches on pretty much every topic imaginable including corruption, road safety, changes in societal attitudes to femininity, wage labour, the role of foreign companies in Romania etc. The film is interspersed with clips from Angela merge mai departe/Angela Moves On (/movie_166482-Angela-merge-mai-departe.html) which make up the archival footage. Many of the B&W modern day sequences are shot looking at the protagonist while she is driving in a sort of 'Jeanne Dielman'-esque approach to filming everyday life. In these shots a ton of blurry vehicles can be seen out the side window, but in the interests of quality (the B&W does not help at all for visibility) and time those aren't included. -- Last edit: 2025-10-26 16:41:51
