Assuming grille is not a replacement, it has the 1980 Chevy grille. |

As eLMeR says a C-Series..A C-40 is a Medium-Duty... |

eLMeR hasn't even been on this page |

(... feel like being a kind of bogeyman, when reading that kind of discussion ) @ supcoach: I'm not the only one in this site to say so, just the only one you "met" for now ... With no view of the wheel rims or of the rear wheels, I'm not sure that any detail can help us here to say a C-30 model over a C-20 one. Not a C-40 for sure, as there was no more such a model in the 1973-88 medium-duty truck line This truck is indeed a light-duty C-Series. To confirm the class that was given to this truck: stakes were indeed no longer sold as specific models from 1973 onwards. Customers had to buy a Chassis-cab basis to make one. -- Last edit: 2015-06-06 17:29:01 |

C-30. It's the same truck as this one: /vehicle_815729-Chevrolet-C-30-1980.html |

@ eLMeR..I did not mean to invoke thy wrath..You were the only name I knew that is knowledgable about trucks...I apologize |

No certainty: different painting, different plate number, different platform bed (stake, here)... Although the rust spots on the hood end look a bit the same -- Last edit: 2015-06-06 19:05:36 |

Very high possibility this is the same C-30 as Ford_Guy points out. Has the same dually style front wheel. Same rust spots & same unique left side mirror only. Same style steel header on the bed board. Same rectangular mark on the right front bumper. Same cab running lights. The "stakes" are easily removable. This truck could easily have started life as a pickup and had the stake bed made later as was often the case. Could also be a local farm fleet vehicle where all received same modifications? More pics of either? |

The paint job looks different due to the shadows/different lighting. The plates could have easily been interchanged, and the stakes were removed from the bed. 110% sure it's the same truck. |

@4x4peru & Ford_Guy: I see a lot of "could" in your arguments. Doesn't match with what I call certainty _____ Edit: where does the Custom Deluxe complement come from? -- Last edit: 2015-06-07 01:55:13 |

C'mon eLMeR, you can't seriously be convinced that it's not the same truck? The rust spots are the same and both are missing the Chevrolet "bowtie" on the grille. There's no denying it. And I added the CD "complement" as that's the trim for this truck. -- Last edit: 2015-06-07 09:59:10 |

@ Ford_Guy: just keep in mind that I was the first one to mention the rust spots and that, like for this one, I added smileys in my 2 previous comments. I was just joking about the "uncertainty" of the confident identifications you both made due to the use of conditional tense for them |
