Where did you get this info? Rear wipers were on domestic and export market cars since the beginning - 1984+ In 1994 nothing changed. Many interesting info. But that's something wrong. It you can see, some of pre-94 IMCDb 2104s has back door wipers/back door wiper's hole stub. /vehicle_709396-VAZ-2104-Zhiguli-1984.html /vehicle_818596-VAZ-2104-Zhiguli-1984.html /vehicle_919756-VAZ-2104-Zhiguli-1984.html /vehicle_929199-VAZ-2104-Zhiguli-1984.html /vehicle_959834-VAZ-2104-Zhiguli-1984.html At least 1987 without back wiper, but with stub - some time ago it was here. Basic 1300 engine, not 21043. /vehicle_40417-VAZ-2104-Zhiguli-1987.html It means that it was installed on the factory. All in all, in Soviet 'showrooms' cars sold without wipers. Owners could just not instal back wiper, cause they don't need it. Or, probably, it can be stolen... Cough. |

Maybe not wrong. That's because 80s reality makes it difficult to judge with 100 % sure.  I can explain these samples of pre-1994 2104s with rear wiper. Many export cars - with some quality flaws - stayed in USSR, Poland, CSSR, etc. For great joy of (hundreds-thousands) their 'domestic' owners.  |

Not-exported export cars - really can be. But every IMCDb's 2104s can't be export models - lots of them are for domestic market. |
