S-LH 839 was one of at least 3 works 220SE (not 300SE) used in 62-63 and early 64 (also S-JK 74, S-JK 190 and others). The only event I can trace with #129 was 64 Monte Ewy Rosqvist/Eva Falk, Link to "www.doubledeclutch.com" . S-LH 839 obviously an important plate for Mercologists, as fitted to 2011 220 SE racer recreation - Link to "blog.hemmings.com" . |

Interesting for plate-freaks, too. It seems very much, that this is the authentic plate. It's made from iron, has the slightly different older DIN-font -to see at the "Bavarian S" and, most crucial, the higher hyphen. There are none of these 1950ies tools existing any more and even the big Daimler-Benz AG has no connections about that - for authentic plates in the Mercedes-Benz Museum they have asked us plate-freaks. Quiz question: can anyone imagine the source of this plate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dy2ZGn-eqqI ? ![]() |
