There are several on this site labelled K2, but according to the slightly jumbled English on this site - http://www.trucksplanet.com/catalog/?id=195 - there were both a K2 and K3 for 2 and 3 ton carrying capacity, along with a K30 (30 cwt). Maybe they should just be K Series? There looks to have been a change of grille at the end of the war, which made it look more like a Bedford(?). -- Last edit: 2014-09-06 22:01:50 |

Pre-war and post war ranges (determined by the updated grille) were basically light, normal and heavy trucks which should be possible to identify. 1939 K30 30cwt 1939 K2 2-Ton civilian and military (ambulance & AFS) 1939 K3 3-Ton civilian and military (GS truck & AFS) 1941 K4 4-5 Ton 158" w/base truck & 112" w/base Tipper 1946 K30 30cwt 1946 K2 2-Ton normal & long w/base truck 1946 K4 4-5 Ton 158" w/base Truck & 112" w/base Tipper 1946 K4 6-7 Ton 112" w/base Tractor The K30 had I believe single rear wheels, the K2 (the most common) had six-stud wheels the K4 trucks had eight stud wheels and tyres which filled the mud-guards will little gap so most should be identifiable I think. |

This truck is a pre-war 1939 K2 with smaller headlamps and tyre size. (I guess K2 rather than a 30cwt K30 which is far less likely.) |
