They are both 1988-1991 models because of the black molding. I also spy a Taurus wagon in the first thumbnail. |

Second generation is right. 1988 to 1991, because this one has all the chrome trim that was dropped after 1992 (replaced by plastic). It, like what seems like always, is not All Wheel Drive (lacks side AWD badge), not a GLS (no ground effects) and not a L (rare, not as much trim). Leaving GL and LX. The rims leave me to think its a LX, seeing as my LX AWD has those same rims. 14" Polycast Wheel were standard on Tempo LX, optional on Tempo GL. So, I am sure it is a 1988-1991 second generation Ford Tempo, and I am pretty sure it is a Tempo LX. 1992+ Tempo 1988-1991 Tempo Notice the second gen Tempo has more chrome trim and has a black plastic and chrome strip running from bumper to bumper, while the 1992 Tempo does not have that. -- Last edit: 2006-12-12 20:56:09 |

Thats odd, this has all the chrome trim of a 88-91 yet has a 92-94 grille and taillights. This is still a 1991 though due to the black plastic trim around the sides and the bumpers. |
