If you can catch the badge… Morris? |

Plate reads ARD 439. The truck is a Morris-Commercial LC3. |

The truck is a Bedford, not a Morris-Commercial. WTL? |

Now that I have made further research. You're correct on the lorry being a Bedford. To answer your question, it does look like the WTL. The plate is already identified now it needs for dsl's eyes to see them. |

The Bedford WTL 3-ton was a semi-forward control truck with two-piece windscreen... With a one-piece windscreen and normal control its a 1934-1939 Bedford WLG 2 ton 143" long wheelbase Truck http://ccmv.aecsouthall.co.uk/p683680186/h507b3cc6#h507b3cc6 |

The second thumbnail appears to show a two-pice windscreen. Is it possible also that we have a coach built cab as the roof looks a bit odd. |

Its the wiper arm and blade, pivoted from the top, that is seen I believe. edit: (2) two different registrations? but same series. Main picture has a Bedford standard windscreen The thumbnail, the windscreen is not the standard 'Bedford' style (curved edge at the bottom) so it is coachbuilt. -- Last edit: 2014-08-17 14:03:41 |

The windscreen appears to be split horizontally in the thumb. |

The lower part looks to be body coloured (painted) to me. Almost like the original windscreen was damaged and replaced with a rectanguler glass only about two-thirds the original's height? Possibly its hinged at the top and slightly open but the lower area does not look like glass to me. |

A Bedford WLG with horizontally split windscreen, so some did have them! Also the main picture could possibly be the same. http://ccmv.aecsouthall.co.uk/p683680186/h144cc1e3#h507b3ce8 Old style radiator grille August 1934 to July 1938, therefore a 1938 chassis registered in 1939 probably because of some delay when building the body. -- Last edit: 2015-10-24 19:15:54 |
