Saab 900 NG Cabriolet (1994-1998). 1994 SAAB 900 Cabrio Gen.2, in IMCDb id.

900 NG vs. 9-3 I: thin lines in the grille vs. larger ones; one hole in the front shield vs. three holes.
Saab claimed that 1,100 changes were made... (Click to enlarge)

(No way to have a better picture, without the "play" button and the "Pluzz" logo?)

To admins: you forgot the Cabrio tag. With it, this car could be with its 221 pals.
For the moment, it's lost in the 23rd page (out of 51, i.e. 806 vehicles) of "Saab 900 (which include 1st and 2nd generation, but also -thanks to computer logic- the Saab 9000...)

Early one, 94-95 MY.

Mostly under the bonnet, like a hydraulic clutch in stead of a clutch cable (introduced as one of the cost-cutting measures by GM, the old 900 had hydraulics), heavy and imprecise clutch handling is a weak point of the GM900, though I'd like to see a complete list of those 1,100 changes...

Just asked, almost instantly delivered :D
Here is the 1100 Changes (What was changed on the 9-3) thread in the saabcentral.com forum. I didn't read more than 2 posts, I don't know if they managed to identify the 1,100 differences :)
Most of them were surely just very specific cosmetic changes, but publicists are used to disguise old things as brand new ones...

The engine was still the same, originally by Triumph. Old but excellent.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triumph_slant-four_engine
"This engine shared much with the original Triumph design, including bore centres and bearings, but was substantially redesigned. Previously inadequate and unreliable features, such as the waterpump and its seal, were redesigned and became reliable. Some of these became popular as retrofits to original Triumph engines and cars."

Convertibles were build from MY 1995 onwards.
The color (Monte Carlo yellow, #231) makes it even a MY 1997 as this car is (due to the beige interior) not part of the limited edition "Mellow Yellow" by Rinspeed (MY 1996.
