1987 sixth generation of Mitsubishi Diamante/Galant/Verada/Eterna (and Dodge 2000GTX, Eagle 2000GTX or Mitsubishi ZX/MF/MS/MX ![]() ![]() This generation seems mostly to be identified as Mitsubishi Galant, in the IMCDb. -- Last edit: 2014-03-07 18:45:02 |

Not the normal Mitsubishi grille, so one of the rebrand versions?? Also smooth sides without all the Mitsubishi plastic trim. |

Je pense que c'est un film ukrainien. Qui se passe à Yalta. Puis à Moscou (là, j'ai utilisé Google Traducteur, brom-hum). -- Last edit: 2014-03-07 19:02:29 |

They seemed to have almost the same Galants in Ukraine that we did... But some have a "one piece" grille, indeed. I don't remember if some "french" Galants did. Same cars in rubles ![]() -- Last edit: 2014-03-07 19:23:10 |

I think it might be a Turkish location as we have some Turkish-specification cars in this movie and the environment matches. /vehicle_682789-Renault-12-Toros-SW-R1339-1989.html |

It really does look like Turkey! The people look very Turkish and the street itself is very typical of Istanbul. The text on the sign is in Latin script, not Cyrillic: it seems to say "ORLON", which is a type of acrylic fiber one can use to knit with. Plus, the plate on the Mitsu looks a LOT like US-sized Turkish plates of the time. |

I was talking about the link Moscvich433 gave us to read more about this movie, not about the picture of that page ![]() The picture I put is one of a "facelifted Mitsubishi Galant sedan, US", as you'll see if you click on it. The plate are the same, indeed. -- Last edit: 2014-03-08 17:11:56 |

Anyway, US-sized plate or not, the car does look like an Euro-spec Galant, with the only difference of clear white indicators instead of orange ones. Let's just call the car a Galant. |

1987 Mitsubishi Galant? So it would be among the 134 other sixth generation Galant, wich is certainly better than being lost in the 599 "just" Mitsubishi Galant. -- Last edit: 2014-03-10 23:42:38 |
