Not a 450SEL, may be a 280 300 380 420 500 or 560SEL... -- Last edit: 2005-06-09 22:06:22 |

I believe the car filmed was a 420SEL. If memory does not serve as well as it should, then we can rely on the fact that it's a series-2 W126 S-Class which precludes the 380 and 500 models. The 280 was not sold in the U.S. (and it is a N.A. spec Benz). -- Last edit: 2007-01-08 03:07:31 |

Agreed it is a 420sel. This is not a 1986 w126 though. In fact it is a 1989-1991. Notice the interior of the car when the father is in the car with his son after the recital; the centers of the seats have horizontal seams as opposed to the standard MBTEX vertical groupings of upholstery. Look at the door cards with the diagonal stitching of leather; 1980-1988 had the perforated holes in a molded piece of MBTEX. -- Last edit: 2007-11-23 23:43:43 |

For the moment i guess so since it has a role and there is a miles-better shot for it during the movie. |
