So far this is the only Australian Starion on this site - these cars were pretty rare in the 80s because they were imported and attracted 57% import duty (and were also subject to import quotas which limited how many Mitsubishi could bring in). New cost at the time was $28,600 or $92,000 today accounting for inflation (this was, however, cheaper than a Honda Prelude). In Australia the Starion was only available with manual transmission and in narrow body - the wide body was never sold here. marioman3138 ◊ 2025-06-18 07:52	Thats more than the RX7 too, that was around the $25k mark at the time from memory - It was like Ford Fairlane or Holden Statesman pricing. at that price the Starion is closer to LTD or Caprice. No wonder I never see them. Looks good with Garden States on it too.
