One could probably complicate things by arguing that it's Origin: CCCP, Built in: Russia... |

I think it is not necessary... |

We use Russia on 1991+ models, from what I remember but you suggested origin=USSR on some 1991 models |

1991 is still USSR because it was dissolved on December 26, 1991. |

Indeed, we actually have only a few 1991 "Russian" I'll fix these |

By the way, for cases like this where a batch of vehicles must be updated on a simple rule (here the year and the origin) it is easier to ask the change in the forum on the "mass change" thread( http://imcdb.opencommunity.be/index.ks?page=forum_topic&id=7034&index=0 ) than posting on each vehicle, so I do the change directly in the database rather than changing vehicles one by one ![]() For small sets doing one by one is still OK, but for 10 and more the mass-change is easier. -- Last edit: 2017-03-11 12:36:47 |

Be careful - e.g. a RAF 2206 Latvija registered August 26, 1991 would already have origin Latvia. From the late summer to December of 1991, the independent states existed alongside the remaining Soviet Union. So far no "independent state" 1991s, but I'm hoping for some in the future, like dsl and his 5-jib cranes... BTW, did Lithuania and Georgia really get their independence in March 1990 and April 1991 or was it just a self-declaration? I always thought Estonia was the first on August 20... -- Last edit: 2018-02-15 21:12:50 |
