Could as well be the last appearance of the classic NE:TL 3737 car.
Except for the fact that this is the E70 and has the plate D:CE 925, this may be the car Semir used with Jan and tom; might have been used as a personal vehicle in "Auferstehung".

Yeah, it's definetely reference to old X5 used a lot by Semir in episodes with Tom and Jan. Even color is quite similar.

The plates mean nothing. They are all fakes in this series.

@ingo, perhaps they changed the plate to fit a bit more into the series since Semir and (at the time, Ben) were using cars that had plates that started with "D" for Düsseldorf. (They were no longer using "NE" plates on their cars.)
And yes, I do know that the plates are fakes and all, but this is still a pretty good reference to the past.

@the non-German speakers: the Umlaute Ä, Ö and Ü are correctly spelled -when the dots are missing- AE, OE and UE. Just A, O und U is misspelled and the pronunciation is also different.

You can type them, you just have to know the codes for a PC:
Hold down the ALT key and type a number on the number pad as follows (while holding the ALT key down). When you release the ALT key, you will have the following character:

ALT 0223 = ß
ALT 0228 = ä
ALT 0246 = ö
ALT 0252 = ü
ALT 0196 = Ä
ALT 0214 = Ö
ALT 0220 = Ü

Alternatively, you can use the Microsoft Windows's Character Map feature :D
