Not a USA version See the repeater at the rear of the front fender here. |

So what is it then? It has the Isuzu grille and it's left hand drive... |

Probably mirrored here |

Perhaps it was modified for import using a Holden Frontera front fender? |

As you can see in this shot here, it is definitely not the Australian version: It has the US-style tail-gate without the tyre mounted on it. All Australian Fronteras had the spare tyre on the back, which meant the license plate went on the rear bumper. -- Last edit: 2013-11-02 06:51:16 |

They may have filmed some scenes in USA (IMDb locations list can be incomplete) |

But rjluna2 said it wasn't a US model... |

Exactly. If they filmed some scenes in the US, that would *support* my argument that it's a US model. But no scenes were filmed in the US - it was all done here. |

The tailgate is the same as on the Japanese market Isuzu Wizard, so perhaps it could be from an Asia-Pacific market such as Taiwan or the Philippines. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Isuzu_Wizard_002.JPG |

But the vehicle in the movie has Rodeo badges on it, not Wizard badges. |

Just me or is the repeater round rather than square like on the Wizard and Frontera linked? If the factory cars were like that it suggests this is an aftermarket conversion (but why when Australia doesn't allow LHD cars this new?). |

Sorry, what I meant was that it's closer to the Wizard than to the North American Rodeo. |

I've read comments too quickly |

It can't be a mirrored image because, the letters are straight, on both the SUV and the campers in the background. I don't think the scene was shot in the USA, either, because the trees in the thumbnail don't look like the type that grow here. Some European version, perhaps? Was the Rodeo/Frontera/Wizard even sold in Europe? |

The tailgate is not the same as on the Opel/Vauxhall Frontera. Since it's not a US Isuzu Rodeo or a JDM Isuzu Wizard either, the only other possibility is a Rodeo from some other market that is the same as a Wizard except that it is left hand drive. -- Last edit: 2013-10-11 11:29:14 |

Yes, as Opel and Isuzu in Continental Europe and as Vauxhall in the UK. If there was a Isuzu-RHD-version for Britain, I don't know. |
◊ 2013-10-10 12:32 |
Most crucial: all AUS- and NZ-versions were always RHD. btw: aren't LHD-cars over there forbidden anyways, and before it's possible to get a registration, you have to convert the steering wheel? -- Last edit: 2013-10-10 12:33:00 |

Well thanks to MisterZ the door badge does indeed read Rodeo |

One of the caravans in the background is an Evernew, a australian manufacturer. |

Hi, I just Googled out of curiosity, and found this discussion stream. There were 2 cars loaned for the film - a 4 door and a 2 door Rodeo. I can't remember where we got the cars from (too long ago) - from which GM division, and whether they were production or prototypes - but they were loaned for use in the film, from Holden's Powertrain development fleet. - the film crew repainted the cars for the film and then removed the paint later, but I remember it took a while for the smell to leave the car's interior! |
