Probably a late 20s-early 30s plate - most AB style permutations of V, W, X and Y date from then. See similar plates and footage /vehicle.php?id=588218 .

If I stare really hard, I can see the plate as KW 1961, which would fit both the jfs linked picture from Southend carnival in 1959 (see also same destination - Devils Hole(?)) and explains JMT livery on a Yorkshire plate.
