@rjluna2: the large taillights means not much. Often they were mounted later on, because the old ones were too dark, to small and had not indicator-lights. This late T1/T2a-taillights was also often used as exchange-parts for other vans with too tiny taillights, for example for the Ford FK1000 or the DKW F89 Schnelllaster (its original taillight was as "big" as a 1$-coin) |

No. You have to make the hole wider, with an iron saw or an angle grinder. |
