Medium-duty truck from the mid-1960's(5000 or 6000 or something like that). I'm pretty sure they didn't use C/K designations back then, unlike Chevy. -- Last edit: 2012-09-01 18:33:07 |

1964 GMC Tandem Axle Truck & Tractor Brochure W5000 , W5500 , BW5500 , LW5500 tandem axle truck and tractor models . BW is B-Series stub-nose conventional with a tandem. LW is L-Model Steel Tilt Cab with a tandem. W5000 is GMC 5000 medium-duty with a tandem. WV5500 is GMC 5500 medium-duty with a tandem with vacuum brakes. WA5500 is GMC 5500 medium-duty with a tandem with air brakes. Link to "www.ebay.com" This looks like a pretty heavy truck. An air horn would be a sign that it has air brakes, but I don’t see an air horn. -- Last edit: 2012-12-11 20:33:00 |

K- prefix was used for the light-duty 4wd versions, so even if not used by GMC until 1967, the usual default identification for the 2wd models is C-Series. At least in the IMCDb. |
