The photos showing the front of the car are definitely a 1938 Buick. and with the chrome around the windshield it is a Roadmaster convertible phaeton 80C.

What is interesting is that the two photos of the rear of the car are a DIFFERENT CAR. 1938 Buick Roadmasters featured a fast back design not a trunk back like this. Also the hubcaps are different between the front shots and the rear. Also the trunk emblem is not a 38 trunk emblem. Also it appear in the one rear shot that headlights have moved from side panel mount to fender mounted. So it appears the two shots of the rear of the car is actually a 1939 (NINE) Buick Roadmaster 81C (81C is trunk back in 1939 and 80C has a fast back).

Having not seen the moving I'm not sure if the seen is in sequence but it appears either this is a different car in a different scene or the production company did a re shoot of the scene with a different car or something similar.

I paid a visit to the museum in summer 2010. Kind of sad, as I was the only visitor that afternoon.

Usual situation, when you visit the -absolute terrible- Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg. Sad, that there's noone, with whom you can share your annoyance.
